Industry: Beverage/Spirits
Role: Lead Designer
For Left Bank’s Barrel Aged Gin, the goal was to create a label that felt as rich and layered as the spirit itself. This wasn’t a traditional gin; it was aged in freshly emptied bourbon barrels, so the design needed to bridge two worlds: classic gin botanicals and the warmth and depth of bourbon heritage.

I developed a visual system rooted in vintage river trade and New Orleans influence, pulling from ornate typography, symmetrical flourishes, and decorative motifs that evoke movement and journey. The arch framing, ribbon elements, and detailed illustration work guide the eye while reinforcing the brand story of barrels traveling downriver. The color palette pairs deep teal with warm gold to reflect both botanical freshness and oak-aged complexity.
The front label establishes strong shelf presence with bold hierarchy and intricate detail, while the back label leans into storytelling, highlighting the brand’s origin story and the unique barrel-aging process. Every element was designed to feel intentional, from the custom type styling to the ornamental accents, creating a cohesive and premium experience from first glance to final pour.
The result is a label that stands out in a crowded spirits market while honoring craftsmanship, history, and the product’s distinctive character.
